Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said Congress would not permit President Donald Trump to utilize framework to “blackmail” Congress to stop examinations concerning him and his administration.
Waters stated, “I was worried about the way that he even imagined that he would consult with the speaker and with Schumer about framework. I never confided in him and, obviously, it turns out, today he’s concocted a rationalization concerning why not going to continue with them on foundation and, fundamentally, coercing them and discussing on the off chance that you need to get framework, you got the opportunity to stop all examinations. I think that’s ridiculous. Be that as it may, that’s average of the leader of the US. What’s more, I never believed that he would get framework done.”
She proceeded, “If he’s essentially going to use it and use it to compromise Nancy Pelosi and Schumer in return for stopping the majority of the examinations, well, we got an issue. We have a genuine issue in light of the fact that we’re not going to enable him to scare or undermine us.”
